Welcome to OUTRIGHT - BANGOR Sponsored by The Eastern Maine AIDS Network The mission of Outright Bangor is to build safe, healthy, and supportive environments for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning youth and their allies.
We envision a world of compassion, love, and understanding where:
* all young people's lives are celebrated;
* young people are given the information and tools to make healthy life decisions, especially around intimacy and sex with others;
* methods of oppression, specifically bullying, end;
* nonconforming gender roles and sexuality are no longer used as justifications to be cruel, dominate, or control LGBTQ people.
Our programs, groups, and services are for young LGBTQ people, ages 22 and under, and their allies.
We have just a few simple rules:
* This is a place to feel comfortable, relax, and to have fun!
* Respect other people and their belongings.
* Assume good intentions.
* Confidentiality covers everyone. Please come and join us !
